Nearby, in Novo Sancti Petri are all the amenities you would expect to find in a popular resort including bars, restaurants, shops and nightclubs. Browse through the local boutiques, or relax and enjoy a coffee in one of the many cafes.
Chiclana, just 10 minutes away, has something for everyone and if you are after that holiday bargain visit the busy market every Tuesday.
For those who prefer a more active holiday, play golf at the Novo Sancti Petri golf course, less than 1 km away. This course was the first in Spain to be designed by Seve Ballesteros and opened in 1990. The course now offers 36 holes which are divided into two rounds of 18 holes.

Cross the Straits of Hercules and take a day trip to exotic Tangiers, in the Kingdom of Morocco.
Alternatively, spend the day by visiting Ceuta, the pretty Spanish enclave on the North African coast.
LOCATION
A new motorway is due to open in 2004 between Algeciras and Jerez, reducing the journey time to Gibraltar and Malaga. This road will also mean visitors can readily access the golf course at San Roque and Sotogrande.
There is also an excellent motorway network linking the northern ports of Spain. The ports of Santander and Bilbao are both approximately 900 miles, a journey of 12 - 14 hours by car, linking to Plymouth and Portsmouth in the UK.
Activities
Novo Sancti Petri and Costa de la Luz is ideal for all sports. Here you can enjoy first class venues in beautiful surroundings and top facilities without the crowds that are becoming a feature of the Costa del Sol.
This area boasts championship golf course, the finest surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing in Spain and southern Europe and is unparralleled for its horse riding and unspoilt natural environment.
The sheer diversity between temperatures, salt contents, currents and natural environment of the straits of Gibraltar make this a fantastic place for Whale and Dolphin watching.
The Dolphin Safari at La Linea sails every hour and a half throughout the day, so there is never long to wait for your trip in the summer with a short timetable in winter
The river Guadalquivir flows through Córdoba, Sevilla and ends then in a marshy delta at the Atlantic coast, between Cádiz and Huelva. The marshlands are protected as a National Park, where no entry is allowed. The park as a whole comprises three distinct kinds of ecosystem, the marismas, the matorral and the dunes. This is why the area has been designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO.
This park is a haven for migratory geese, spoonbills and many other migratory birds as well many birds of prey, most notably 15 pairs of Imperial Eagles as well as Black Kites, Griffon Vultures and Marsh harriers. From bird hides at the reserve centre, you can find Cetti's and Savi's warblers and watch egrets, herons and little bitterns. Sometimes you may see a majestic imperial eagle soar from the woods of Doñana over El Rocio to the Coto del Rey. In fact, 125 species of birds are known to breed in this fabulous wilderness, as well as 28 species of mammal, 17 reptiles, 9 amphibians and 8 varieties of fish.

Chiclana’s wines are the ideal accompaniment to a large variety of fresh, local, typical Andalucian cuisine; although Chiclana does claim some of her own unique fish and seafood specialities from Chiclana’s own estuary and tidal pools.
Chiclana
is also famed also for ‘chacinas’ (sausage), like ‘butifarra’ and ‘longaniza’ and ‘chicharrones’ (oven roasted pork) and especially its most famous dish: ‘berza’ (cabbage based stew). Another of Chiclana’s specialities are its pastries such as the ‘Tortas de Almendra’ (almond pastries) which are baked exclusively in the Convent of the Augustinian Nuns; the reason why they are locally named ‘Tortas de la Monjas’. For more than two centuries Jerez has been famous for being one of the most important cradles of Flamenco recognized by the very best exponents of this art and by flamenco lovers everywhere. Nowadays, Jerez enjoys international prestige as the town of Flamenco. There are more than a dozen small flamenco clubs (peñas flamencas) which frequently house concerts and recitals.
