The modern 2 bedroom (sleeps 4) villa for rent is on the attractive Els Vilars complex on Puig Rom - the hill with spectacular views of Roses on the Costa Brava and the Mediterranean and Pyrenees mountains. Suitable for families with children or a couple, the villa is set amongst landscaped gardens with a pool and children's pool. There is plenty to explore just 25 km from the French border.

The villa is beautifully situated a few minutes drive from the centre of Roses on the hill overlooking the town. It is easily accessible from Gerona (about 50 mins), Barcelona (less than 2 hours) or Perpignan (about 1 hour) airports. There are cheap flights to Gerona from Stansted, Luton, Bournemouth, Liverpool, East Midlands, Blackpool and Glasgow as well as from many cities in Europe.

The villa is bright, sunny and colourfully decorated in a Spanish theme. There are two bedrooms upstairs, both with balconies and views to either the sea or the mountains and overlooking the pool area. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has bunk beds, both rooms having ample built-in wardrobes.


Upstairs also consists of a large bathroom with shower, bath and toilet and a separate utility room with washing machine. Downstairs consists of an entrance hallway, kitchen (with modern hob and microwave oven), toilet and washroom, and a split level open plan dining (for 4 persons) and living area, TV/Video/DVD and radio/CD player.


The living area extends to the outdoor patio and onto the pebbled garden which looks out to the pool area. There is also an inbuilt BBQ.

Roses

Roses is situated on the Bay of Roses and is a thriving town all year round and in summer months offers a range of water activities. The recently established Marina is a feature of the town and there are many cruises available from the centre of the town.


Roses has an abundance of restaurants, cafes, and shops as well as supermarkets and all services. Nearby towns in both Spain and France are worth a visit and the coastal drive northwards to France in particular offers fantastic scenery. The villa is ideally located for keen walkers with both coastal and mountain walks through the National Parks only a few minutes away.


There are numerous supermarkets in or on the outskirts of the town but from May to October a local shop a short walk from the villa, provides all the daily essentials. There is also a wonderful fresh food market in the centre of the town and a popular weekly market. The daily fish market at the Marina offers a large range of freshly caught seafood.


One of Europe's finest water parks, Aquabrava, is in Roses and there are many historical sights nearby including the original Roman town itself in the heart of Roses. The town of Castello de Empuries about 10 minutes away is worth a visit for both its historic beauty and its restaurants. The sandy beaches of Petite Canyelles and Almadrada, again only minutes away, provide a quieter alternative to the beach front of Roses.
